2023 NCAA Division III The Season: Chicago

 


Over the years the Maroons have made some tremendous strides & with the recent hire of new assistant Coach Matt Gentry, an NCAA Champion of Stanford & two time Pan-American bronze medalist, things will continue to look up. The Maroons return two of their four NCAA Division III qualifiers from last season, both of which were All Americans.  Gone is Three time qualifier Ben Sarasin who was 7th in 2019 as well as Maguire Pecci who finished R12 last season. 

125 lbs
Jake Hamulak 

The native Ohioan took an 8th place finish at the Upper Midwest Regional on a 15-14 record last season. 

141 lbs
Vincent Menozzi

The Florida native still managed an 8th place finish despite having a losing record of 11-13. It'll be interesting to see if he'll be able to earn another Regional medal this season. 

149 lbs
Ryan Fleck          OR       Drew Vlasnik

Two time conference champion Ryan Fleck heads into his senior season having earned a runner-up finish at the Upper-Midwest Regional & a 6th place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships. Also at 149 lbs is the ever tough Drew Vlasnik, who in 16 victories last season defeated 2021 All American Daniel Ruiz of Loras. 

157 lbs
Darian Estevez 

Only a sophomore & already Florida native Darian Estevez has proven himself one of the top stars for the Maroons.  A Conference champion & a Upper Midwest Regional champion, he was 8th in the NCAA Division III championships last season on a 21-7 record. 

165 lbs
Tyler Joseph 

Another tough sophomore, New Yorker Tyler Joseph took an 8th place finish at the Upper Midwest Regional last season. 

197 
Danny Lingen 

And yet another tough sophomore for the Maroons, Danny Lingen took an 18-9 record to a 6th place Upper Midwest Regional finish last season.
