2023 NCAA Division II The Season: Augustana (South Dakota)

Looks to be a very good year for Viking wrestling as seven of eight NCAA Division II qualifiers return, one of which was an All American & three more who were only one match away.  Hunter Burnett a two time NCAA Division II qualifier who finished one match shy of All American last season & Daniel Bishop who finished one match shy of qualification earning a total of 72 victories for the Vikings are both gone.  Also gone is Brandon Carroll a qualifier in 2021 who despite not being the starter come Region time did have an extremely impressive 16-8 major decision over two time DII finalist Garrett Vos of St Cloud State.
