2023 NCAA Division III The season: John Carroll

 

The Blue Streaks took two to the NCAA Division III championships last season, with one making it all the way to the finals. COVID-19 as I have mentioned in previous team previews has made it difficult to know who all will and who all will not be returning. I do know of two who will not be returning to the lineup this season. 

Andrew Perelka who was an NCAA DIII runner-up last season will not be using what would have been a 5th year. A graduate in May he is already the president and CEO of a company. Pretty impressive stuff.  

Kyle Murray who finished one match shy of NCAA DIII qualification this past season will also not be returning to the lineup & will instead be serving our country in the United States Army. Happy to him moving on but a little sad as I really think he could have pushed on through and made his first national tournament appearance this season.

Patrick McGraw 

Patrick McGraw to my understanding never placed at the Ohio State championships while in high school, yet he darn near captured NCAA DIII All American honors this past season as a sophomore when he finished R12 at the national tournament. He won a Central Region title last year as well.
