What a bittersweet ending to the 21'-22' season it was last year for the Tigers. Six qualified for the NAIA championships as four finished one match shy of All American honors. Five of those six return this season as all five look to claim All American honors.
Tennessee native Cameron Henderson enters his junior season having placed 3rd at the Mid South Conference North (MSCN) tournament last season. He will look to qualify for his first NAIA tournament this season.
Dayton Marvel earned 6th place NAIA All American honors in 2019 as a freshman, but has been unable to achieve that status again as he's gone 2-2 at both the 2020 national tournament and the 2022 national tournament. Finishing as the MSCN runner-up last season, he'll look to win a conference title & reclaim a top 8 finish at the NAIA's this year.
Gavin Smith enters the 2022-2023 season having finished one match shy of All American status last season after placing 4th in 2021 as a sophomore. The Georgia native will look to become a two time All American this March.
Three time NAIA qualifier Chandler Woenker was one match shy of All American status after finishing 3rd at the MSCN. He will look to make the conference finals this season & earn a top 8 finish at the NAIA's this season.
Curtis Thomas originally went to Rowan, which was known as Glassboro State when they had a wrestling program (discontinued after the 91'-92' season). Transferring to Campbellsville, he placed 4th at the MSCN tournament last season & finished one match shy of All American honors at the NAIA championships. He'll look for a better placing within the conference & a top 8 finish at nationals this season.
Only a sophomore, Gabe Craig makes yet another Tiger who finished last season one match shy of being an All American. He took will look for a place in the top 8 come season's end.
