2023 NAIA The Season: Embry Riddle

22'-23' will be a rebuilding year for the Eagles as they lost two outstanding wrestlers in three time All American Jacob Seto, who made the NAIA finals last season as well as three time All American James Williams. I'll also throw in a word for Berit Sturgeon who in spite of not being a NAIA qualifier, always put forth his best effort.

141 lbs
Jayce Cunha

It wasn't a great Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) tournament for Jayce Cunha as an injury caused him to forfeit to 6th place. However, he had enough quality victories in his first winning season of 11-8 to earn a wildcard qualification to the NAIA championships. Going 9-15 as a freshman he was 17-20 as a sophomore. It'll be interesting to see how he does in his final season as an Eagle.

149 lbs
Beau Blackham

Any ugly CCC tournament for Beau Blackham saw him seeded high but finish out the tournament 0-2. The 2020 All American wrestled well enough during the season though to earn a spot at the NAIA championships, although that too ended with an 0-2 result. It's obvious from his 8th place finish three seasons ago that he has the tools to succeed at a high level. It's a matter of which Blackham shows up this season.

165 lbs
Keller Rock

Head coach K.C. Rock nearly got to coach son Keller to All American status last year, as he finished one match shy of the award stand.  Taking 3rd at the CCC tournament last season, Rock will look to make the finals this season and earn the All American honor that eluded him last year.
