2023 NAIA The Season: Midway

 

The Eagles have a very tough team full of a lot of great talent.

125 lbs
Andrew Vogeler

The sophomore had a pretty decent showing last season with one of the highlights of his season being a 3rd place finish at the Central Baptist Invite.  

125 lbs
Tyrique Simms 

Another tough 125 lbs'er in the room for the Eagles this season will be Alabama native Tyrique Simms. A two time state finalist/state champ from the Heart of Dixie. 

133 lbs
Isaac Linley 

Two time Georgia High School State champion Isaac Linley will fill in the duties at 133 lbs this season. 




141 lbs
Kyler Adams 

An Alabama native, Kyler Adams made his first NAIA tournament with an impressive Mid South Conference North runner-up finish last season as a freshman. A bright future lies ahead for this Eagle.

Anthony Caruso 

A native of Delaware, Anthony Caruso was 3rd last year at the MSCN tournament, qualifying for the NAIA championships. 


149 lbs
Kaleb Clark 

Sophomore Kaleb Clark is one of two Eagles who did not make the NAIA championships last season who I feel will make it this season. 

157 lbs
Brent Hudgins 

Kentucky native Brent Hudgins will look for another NAIA qualification this season.

Kevon Almond 

A match away from an NAIA All American honor in 2021, Kevon Almond will go into this season looking to earn a top 8 finish at the national tournament. 

165 lbs
Abe Hafez Or Colton McMahan Or Trace Insalaco

A lot of talent in the room at 165 lbs for the Eagles. Abe Hafez is coming off redshirt as two transfers enter teh room.  Colton McMahan who was at Emmanuel and Trace Insalaco who was at  both Truett McConnell & Brewton Parker. McMahan was a state champ in Tennessee as Insalaco was a State champ in Georgia who placed 4th at the Central Baptist Invite last season. 

174 lbs
Tyler Norton                   Jabril Williams

Tyler Norton was a Kentucky High School State place-winner in high school as Jabril Williams a starter for the Eagles last season was a Georgia High School State Runner-up. 

184 lbs
Noah Barclay 

Noah Barclay will be coming off a redshirt to compete for the Eagles this season. A transfer out of Brewton-Parker, he was a Alabama state runner-up in High School. 

197 lbs
Isaiah McDougal

A national qualifier for the Eagles, McDougal was 6th at this past year's MSCN tournament. He also had a runner-up finish at the Central Baptist Invitational. 

HWT 
Byron Pierce 

A 2021 NAIA R12 finisher, Byron Pierce is back off of redshirt looking to earn All American honors. 

HWT
Chris Alvizures 

Another tough HWT for the Eagles, Chris Alvizures comes to Midway from Mount San Antonio College where he was a CCCAA place-winner.
