I think this will be a challenging year for Eagle wrestling, but I do think they have potential to send at least one to the NAIA championships this season.
149 lbs Logan Johnson |
Going 28-12 on the season, Logan Johnson was a victim of some bad luck last season. As far as I'm concerned he was as good at 3rd place at the KCAC championships in 2022, but Brayden Smith of York getting upset in the quarter-finals didn't help any. Johnson pinned Austin Almaguer of St. Mary who finished 4th to his 5th, a result of bracket placement. If the Eagles see anyone head to the NAIA championships this season, my bet is on Johnson.
