Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Widener

In all of my research on dropped wrestling programs this was one of the most confusing that I ran across.  Sometimes it would be recorded as simply Chester, the community in Pennsylvania in which the school is located.  At other times, listed as PMC which took me forever to figure out what the stood for. Pennsylvania Military College.  Then on top of it that school nickname has changed multiple times throughout the years as well.  Cadets, Pioneers & Pride.  Nevertheless I believe I have the best wrestlers that competed at the college that competed in the Middle Atlantic Conference at the NCAA Division III level.

Richard Carlson
150 lbs

Carlson won a MAC title in 1982

Joe Giovenetti
126 lbs

Giovenetti took runner up honors at the 1983 MAC championships.  He later became a Manager of UPS.

Clay Hathaway
118 lbs

One of the best wrestlers Widener ever produced, Hathaway won three straight MAC titles in 1983, 1984 & 1985.  He captured a NCAA Division III All American finish of eighth in 1985.

Clark Van Buskirk
126 lbs

Van Buskirk was a MAC runner-up in 1984.

Kevin Pryzbyszewski
HWT

After a runner-up finish at the 1982 MAC championships, Pryzbyszewski went on to capture an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division III championships.
