Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Hanover

Today the Panthers of Hanover compete in NCAA Division III athletics.  At the time they fielded a wrestling team they were NAIA. 

Pete Cassanos
126 lbs  

Cassanos earned NAIA All American honors in 1978 with a sixth place finish. 

Greg Krueger
177 lbs  

Earning an eighth place finish, Greg Krueger was an NAIA All American for the Panthers in 1983. 

Sam George

All conference on both the football & track teams, Sam George was also a member of the wrestling team. 

Erich Blevins

A member of the Hanover wrestling team, Blevins would go on to become a health teacher & the head coach of Sullivan High school from 1974-2004.  Today he is a Minister of a Methodist Church.
