Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Malone

Located an hour south of Cleveland in Canton, Ohio, today Malone is a NCAA Division II school.  At the time the Pioneers had a wrestling program they were NAIA.  The program was discontinued after the 1985-1986 season. 

Brian Ries 

Ries was a three time NAIA qualifier for the Pioneers winning two Mid-Ohio Conference titles & two district titles during his career. He was a graduate of Northwest High School. 

Dennis Baker
177, 190 lbs 

Baker twice earned NAIA All American status of the Pioneers.  He was sixth in 1976 making the 1977 finals. 

Keith Harpster
134 lbs 

Harpster earned back to back eighth place finishes at the 1982 & 1983 NAIA championships.
