Gone, Lost & Forgotten: South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference Team Titles won by Schools that No Longer Have wrestling

The SDIC (South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference) was a conference made up of mostly NAIA schools from South Dakota, although two northwestern Iowa schools joined in the last years of the conference.  The conference started in 1917 and ran through the 1999-2000 season.

As to when SDIC wrestling started and as to when it ended, I have no idea.

All I know is that Black Hills State that no longer fields wrestling ruled SDIC wrestling for a period in the mid 60's.

Black Hills State won titles in 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1970.

They may have won more.  I don't know.

If you have any information on SDIC wrestling, please let me know.

and thanks to this new information

Si Tanka won a SDIC title in 1972
