Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Team Titles Won By Schools that No Longer Have Wrestling

This one gets a bit confusing.

From what I have been able to find what we know today as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) was founded in 1909.  Today it is strictly a NCAA Division II conference with official members and affiliate members.  The first RMAC wrestling tournament was held in 1929.  In most years it was split into two separate championships. The RMAC-West Division and the RMAC-East Division.

I believe sometime after the 1949 RMAC tournament, many of the University schools left the conference, making it strictly a college Division conference, thus NCAA Division II.

Today there is a Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open which has many of the RMAC schools that still have wrestling (+ more) competing.
