The Mid-Western Conference was short lived as the conference only existed for two seasons. 1970-1971 and 1971-1972. Made up of schools from Indiana and Illinois, wrestling was one of the sports that was sponsored.
Southern Illinois Carbondale won the 1971 team title.
Some sources say that Northern Illinois which still has a wrestling program won the 1972 team title, but other sources say that Southern Illinois Carbondale did.
Wikipedia list Northern Illinois as the team champions while the 1973 NCAA Rule Book list Southern Illinois Carbondale.
