Gone, Lost & Forgotten: 4I Team Champions that No Longer Have Wrestling

The Interstate Intercollegiate Individual Invitational more commonly known as the 4-I was a tournament that started in 1936 and to my knowledge ended in 1969.  From what I have been able to gather I think it was one of the few tournaments that still took place during World War II, when nearly everything else had been shut down.  I only say this because of instances where they talk about the tournament being the 14th or the 17th and doing the math would conclude that they would have had to have had a tournament during those years in the mid 1940's when no one else was.

The other conclusion is that maybe it existed long before 1936 and those years in the 40's were skipped. I don't know. If you do know, let me know and I'll make the corrections.
