I wasn't able to find out a lot about this small University in New York City. The only thing I do know about the situation is that it was a heartbreaking state of affairs when the school dropped the wrestling program. It was started by the legendary Henry Wittenberg in the 1959-1960 season.
Neil Ellmen took over in the 1969-1970 season & coached up through the 2014-2015 season when the program was dropped. It's a real shame because Ellmen would most likely still be coaching today. He had 45 years of experience as head coach & likely would have broken records as he'd now be at his 50th season. It's shameful & regrettable that he had that opportunity taken away from him.
