Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Foothill

Located in Los Altos Hills, California the Owls of Foothill at one time had a wrestling program.

Lucas

I was unable to find a first name, but Lucas finished in third place at the 1963 CCCAA tournament, winning a CCCAA title in 1965.

Olmos
115 lbs

Another where I wasn't able to find a first name, Olmos was a two time CCCAA runner-up in 1968 & 1969.

Bruce Blanchard
142 lbs

After finishing in sixth place in 1970, Blanchard won a CCCAA title in 1971.

Ralph Keuhn
HWT

After finishing as the 1975 CCCAA runner-up, Ralph Keuhn transferred to San Jose State where he qualified for the NCAA Division I championships in 1978.  He later was a coach at San Jose State.

Dwight Miller
126 lbs

Miller won Central Coast Sectional titles for Gunn High School in 1973 & 1974 before coming to Foothill.  Competing for the Owls he finished third at the CCCAA in 1976.

Tony Brewer

Originally from Coushatta, Louisiana, once he moved to California Brewer found himself a standout in football, wrestling & baseball for Palo Alto High school.  He was a state qualifier in wrestling.

Continuing in all three sports while at Foothill, Brewer won a CCCAA title in 1977 & had offers to continue his wrestling career, but decided to focus his last two seasons of eligibility on baseball instead.   He went on to play baseball at Miami (Florida) & then had a career in the MLB playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
