A part of the SUNY system, the Kats of Erie Community College at one time had a wrestling program.

Hamilton only lost twice during the 1970-1971 season, finishing as the runner-up at both the Regional tournament & the NJCAA tournament. He won 28 matches that season & all of them were by fall.
