Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Anoka-Ramsey

Located along the Mississippi River a half hour north of Minneapolis, The Golden Rams of Anoka-Ramsey at one time had a wrestling program.  From what I've been able to gather the 1971-1972 season was one of their best as they won a conference title & finished in fourteenth place at the NJCAA tournament.

Mike Dalheimer

A local of Anoka High School, Dalheimer finished in third place at the 1972 NJCAA tournament.  He then transferred to St. Cloud State where he was a two time NCAA Division II All American taking sixth in 1974 & third in 1973.

Post his collegiate career, Dalheimer coached at Elk River High School.

Jim Bebeau

Another local, Bebeau wrestled & played football at Coon Rapids high school before coming to Anoka-Ramsey to wrestle & play football for the Golden Rams.  In 1988 he was a NJCAA runner-up & in 1989 he earned fourth place NJCAA All American honors, while also earning the Gorriaran award.

He later taught high school at Totino-Grace.
