The ends of eligibility & transfer, the Wolfpack does lose a few as we head into 2026-2027. However, not only do they regain a lot of talent, but they have a lot of guys on their team very capable of doing a lot better this year than they did last year. It's ironic that NC State is called the wolves, because it almost reminds you of one of those wolf films from the 80's or 90's. IRON WILL, WHITE FANG, THE JOURNEY OF NATTY GANN. You know the film where the wolf gets injured, regains its strength & then comes back stronger than before? That's the plot I see unfolding for the red, white & black.
Gone...
Vince Robinson, a National Champion in 2025, was 4th in the DI nation this past season. 3rd & 2nd in the ACC, he has decided to continue the rest of his career at Nebraska.
Troy Hohman, is heading to Illinois.
Ryan Jack, a four-time NCAA DI qualifier, was 7th in the DI nation in 2024, is now out of eligibility.
Dan Zepeda, will be competing for Michigan this season.
Isaac Trumble, who went undefeated this past season winning both an ACC & an NCAA DI title (also 4th in 2025) is also out of eligibility.
Back....
133 Zach Redding
I don't know how Zach Redding has more eligibility, but the three-time NCAA DI qualifier is back for one more go round of collegiate eligibility.
149 Koy Buesgens
22-5 on the year, Koy Buesgens enters 2026-2027 with ACC finishes of 3rd & 2nd thus far. Not only will he be looking for conference gold, but it's obvious that he'll be a top contender for All-American status as well. A 2-1 decision over Casey Swiderski, a 4-1 win over Collin Gaj & a 6-3 decision over Jaxon Joy. Oh, by the way a 14-5 major over national champion Aden Valencia.
157 Jackson Arrington
Hurt in 2026, Jackson Arrington returns having twice been the NCAA DI R12 in his career.
165 Will Denny
4th in the ACC last year, Will Denny finished off the season one match shy of DI All-American honors. On the year he had a 10-2 major over Bryce Hepner & a 6-5 decision over Paddy Gallagher.
174 Matty Singleton
7th in the DI nation in 2025, Matty Singleton finished one match shy of a second All-American honor last year. Winning an ACC title, the Georgian went 19-5 on the season.
184 Jake Dailey
You don't see this happen every day. I can't think of a time it has happened over the past 25 years. A former Tar Heel is now a member of the Wolfpack. 20 wins last year, he finished 2nd in the ACC.
197 Patrick Brophy
Patrick Brophy was an NCAA DI qualifier in 2025.

HWT Bennett Tabor
Under the radar? Overlooked? Forgotten about by many fans? I think that fits Bennett Tabor pretty well as we head into '26-'27. I think many will remember him relatively soon as we head into '26-'27. This is a guy with some big wins & big achievements thus far in his career, and I think he's going to open up a lot of eyes at HWT this year. NC State has a good one here in this former Minnesota Golden Gopher.
