As long as fans are allowed, yours truly will be in attendance for this one. While I think this will be a fun dual meet all around, three matches stick out in particularly. Here are what I feel will be the best matches of the night.
125 - #12 Brody Teske Vs #17 Taylor LaMont
There is a chance this could very well be our BIG 12 final come conference tournament time. Last season Teske upended LaMont for BIG 12 gold in an exciting 9-7 match. This is the only time the two have met and I'm sure LaMont is looking to avenge that loss, while Teske is looking to show the Purple and Gold faithful that he is the better man.
133 - #31 Kyle Biscoglia/U.R. Jack Skudlarczyk/U.R. Jack Wager Vs #15 Haiden Drury
Biscoglia, Skudlarczyk or Wager, I really don't think it matters who the Panthers put out on the mat. Any of these three guys, in front of a rowdy West Gym home crowd are capable of giving Drury a match. Coach Schwab is constantly looking for his guys to pull of upsets and prove themselves to be better on the mat than rankings have them on paper. This is the perfect opportunity to do so.
184 - #4 Parker Keckeisen Vs #29 Jacob Armstrong
As dominant and competitive as Keckeisen has been thus far in his career, one wouldn't think that Armstrong would give him any trouble, but to the contrary he already has. The last the two met, Keckeisen had difficulty getting his offense going and really had to work to earn a 5-3 decision. Was it an off day for Keckeisen or does Armstrong have a style that gives the Panther fits? We'll find out on Friday night!
