Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Howard

Late Spring of 2002 was a sad day for Bison sports as Athletic Director Norrell Thomas announced that because of a lack of space & Title IX constraints both baseball & wrestling (started in 1950-1951) would be discontinued before the start of the 2002-2003 season.    During Howard's time in wrestling they competed in both of wrestling's only historically black colleges conferences.  The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) & the Mideastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), as well as the Eastern Regional.  Howard won CIAA team titles in 1962, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 & 1971.
