Gannon @ The 46th Annual Midwest Classic!

 



#6 Gannon has one of the best teams they've had in a long time with a ton of great talent.  Things are looking eerily good in Erie, Pennsylvania!  Look for many of the Golden Knights to have a great tournament in Indianapolis this weekend!

 Here's a Knight with his sword ready to slice away at the competition.  An NCAA DII qualifier last season, Logan Sallot has an assortment of impressive wins against the competition.  An 11-3 major over Colton Drousias, he tech'd Josh Jasionowicz & he owns an 8-5 decision over Logan Davis.

Jerry Echevarria

5th & 7th thus far in the D2 Nation, Jerry Echevarria has been 5th & 8th at the Midwest Classic & he's itching to become a three-time place-winner this weekend.  16-4, 5-4 & 13-2 he's shown he knows how to beat Elijah Lusk.  He's also defeated Evan Bindner 4-1, Christian Davis 8-6, J.J. Armstrong 2-1 & Max Shore 4-2.

Jake Niffenegger

From Mercyhurst to Indianapolis, Jake Niffenegger has settled on Gannon has his appropriate place in NCAA Division III wrestling.  7th & 6th place finishes thus far in NCAA DII wrestling he is currently 6-0 on the year.  Owns a 4-1 win over Colton Stoneking & a 10-4 decision over Cole Thomas.

Dillon Walker

Another former Mercyhurst wrestling, Dillon Walker is one to keep an eye on this weekend.  Here's a guy that has fallen from grace, ready to make Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins eat their hearts out with redemption.  An NCAA D2 All American in 2022, he was one match shy of being an All American again in 2023.  He didn't even place at Super Regions in 2024.  Now he's back, looking to prove himself now more than ever.  Owns a 2-0 win over Sevi Garza & a 15-3 major over Alec Cook.

Patrick Jackson

An NCAA DII qualifier last season, Patrick Jackson is looking very good thus far in '25-'26.  9-0 on the year he has one titles at Mount Union & Bob Del Rosa.  He was 6th at last year's Midwest Classic.

What was Cleveland State's loss, has now became Gannon's gain.  Joey Lyons not only had a winning record in DI wrestling last year, he placed 5th at the Mid-American Conference!  Thus far, titles won at both Mount Union & Bob Del Rosa.
