5th-4th-4th in Super Region VI, I have called Quade Smith multiple times throughout multiple articles one of the best in NCAA DII wrestling yet to make the national tournament. Shane Corrigan, Trevon Gray, Luke Acuna, Dayson Torgerson, who hasn't this Eagle defeated? He was 4th here at the Classic back in 2024 & thus far this year he is sitting on an 8-0 record with a title from the Dakota Wesleyan Open. If there be a time to turn it on and perform, now is it.

A transfer of Gannon, Caleb Chaves isn't currently in Theopenmat's rankings, but he most certainly has the potential to be. A good showing here in Indianapolis would certainly do the trick.

An NCAA DII runner-up & 5th here a year ago, Keegan Gelhausen has the opportunity to head back west after this weekend is all said & done wearing a t-shirt that says, "champion."

Another hope for a top 8 finish for the Eagles this tournament will be Mason Vilwok. He owns a 4-1 s.v. over Mike Murillo.
