The Warriors have some good wrestlers to watch for this weekend in Indianapolis!
#19 Josh Jasionowicz 125
The graduate student has started off '25-'26 with a strong 11-3 record & looks to add some more victories to the W column this weekend.
#8 Luke Ciampa 184
28 wins on the season last year, thus far Luke Ciampa has been 6th-4th-5th at Super Region I. He wants to end his career as an NCAA DII qualifier or higher, & thus far he's showing the D2 nation that he's in route to doing so. A good showing here at the Midwest Classic will only help him as he continues his journey. He's already standing at 19-2 for the year.
U.R. Robert Burke 197
After wrestling his entire career at 174, Robert Burke has moved all the way up to 197 lbs for his final go in collegiate wrestling. So far, so good as the Warrior stands at 10-3 on the year. Now it's time to see where he really fits in among the best of the best in NCAA Division II. At 174 he had such wins as defeating Jeremiah Halter an NCAA D2 qualifier 8-2. Can he do the same at 197? We'll see!
U.R. Layton Schmick HWT
I'm kinda surprised that Layton Schmick isn't in the rankings & if Theopenmat.com did top 25 instead of just top 20, I'm pretty sure he would be. 6th in Super Region I last year, the Warrior was one match away from being a Midwest Classic Place-winner.
