Cole Becker didn't take to the mat much last season, but in an overall 9-5 record he qualified for the NCAA Division III championships with a 3rd place showing at Regional 7 & nearly made All American as he finished one match shy of a top 8 finish at nationals.

Hayden Myers
Wesleyan

The Rhode Island native went 33-7 on the season, finishing one match shy of D3 All American honors.  Thus far he has been 4th & 3rd at Regionals.

Joey Innamorato

An NCAA Division III qualifier for the Cyclones last season, Joey Innamorato made the Regional 2 finals with 25 wins on the year.

Sean O'Toole

Naming Cael Sanderson & Jordan Burroughs as his two favorite wrestlers, the two time NWCA Scholar All-American went 26-9 last season making the finals of Regional 3.  He was also 3rd at the Auggie Invite.

Drew Loniewski
Muhlenburg

29 wins on the season, Drew Loniewski heads into his junior season having posted 4th & 3rd place finishes thus far at Regionals.  He also has been 2nd & 1st thus far in the Centennial Collegiate Conference (CCC).

Kyle Moore

28 wins on the year, the Husky finished one match shy of NCAA Division III qualification finishing 4th at Regional 1.

Cole Neil
Penn State Behrends

18 wins on the season, Cole Neil nearly gave the Lions an NCAA DIII qualifier when he finished 4th at Regional 2.

Shaun Quirk
Messiah

A 7-13 record as a freshman, Shaun Quirk really turned things around last season going 30-12 overall.  Among those 30 wins, Quirk seemed to have Drew Loniewski's number defeating the Mule on three occasions.  A 12-1 major decision, followed up by a 4:33 fall, Quirk actually defeated Loniewski 10-5 early on at Regional 3.  Unfortunately he would lose to him 7-6 in the match to qualify.  A runner-up at both the Racich Rumble & the MAC.

Skyler Hickman
Washington & Lee

19 wins on the year, the Goodyear, Arizona native finished one win shy of NCAA Division III qualification last season.  Among those 19 wins a 3:18 fall over qualifier Sean O'Toole & an 11-6 decision over qualifier Drew Loniewski.

Also a member of the Kohawk baseball program, Kael Kurtz finished one match shy of NCAA Division III qualification with a 4th place showing at Regional 6 last year.

A match shy of NCAA Division III qualification last season, Riese Thornberry has thus far been 7th & 4th in Regionals & was a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) runner-up last year.  Among his W's, a 4-1 decision over D3 finalist Sean Conway.

Trevor Bishop
St John Fisher

An NWCA Scholar All-American & the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year, Trevor Bishop placed 5th at Regional 2.

Tyler Kadish
NYU

Another NWCA Scholar All-American, this time we're talking about the UAA rookie of the year, Tyler Kadish who took runner-up honors at the UAA tournament.  Along withs these accomplishments, Kadish also won titles at the Racich Rumble & Ned McGinley.  5th at Regional 3, he won 27 matches in total, 19 coming via bonus points.

Sabri Sino
William Penn

A transfer of NAIA William Penn, Sabri Sino won 21 matches last season & captured a 5th place finish at Regional 5.

Ty Trickle

A wrestler with some boxing skills, Ty Trickle won 15 matches in '24-'25 & placed 6th at Regional 1.

Ryan Santiago
Wilkes

A 15 win season for Ryan Santiago last season, who was 6th at Regional 2.

Brendan Callahan
Gettysburg

A 24-8 season for Brendan Callahan, who finished 6th at Regional 3.  Among his wins, he defeated Drew Loniewski twice by scores of 14-11 & 10-7.

Evan Onstad
UW-Whitewater

We talk about sleepers a lot in this sport at this level, and we could be looking at one here.  All in all, Evan Onstad won 29 matches last season & collected medals everywhere he went.  A Concordia (WIS) open runner-up, he was 3rd in the WIAC, 4th at Pete Willson & 5th at Roger Williams.  Among his notable victories, a 17-14 decision over All-American Tommy Thongseng & a 12-11 decision over R12'er Haden Myers.

Zander Payne
Ozarks

An Arkansas native, I once drove past his high school years ago when they did not have a wrestling program. Now they do, and they're producing collegiate wrestlers.  A positive for our sport as we look forward.  Zander Payne was one match shy of a top 8 showing at Pete Willson last season & he finished 6th in Regional 6.

Jake Penzato
Aurora

A 24 win season for Jake Penzato last season, which included an 8-4 decision over Sean Conway the NCAA Division III runner-up.  Penzato took 6th at Regional 7.

Gabe Goss
SUNY-Oswego

An NCAA Division III qualifier in 2024 with a runner-up finish at Regionals, things didn't go as good for Gabe Goss last year, as he finished in 7th place.  With that said, Goss went 18-2 on the season, winning a SUNY-AC title.

Garrett Gehr
Alvernia

Garrett Gehr finished 7th at Regional 3 last year.

Koen Eberhard
Albion

Koen Eberhard finished 7th at Regional 5 last year.

Gaige Owens

A transfer from the now defunct Iowa Wesleyan, Gaige Owens won 24 matches on the season, placing 7th at Regional 6.

Finn Bloomquist
UW-Eau Claire

20 wins in '24-'25, Finn Bloomquist earned 7th place finishes at Regional 7 & at Pete Willson.

Ridge Barkley
Mount Union

17 wins on the year, Ridge Barkley was 8th at Regional 4.

Mike Kallimani
Manchester

15 wins in '24-'25 for Mike Kallimani, who was 8th at Regional 5.

Cam Soda
Johnson & Wales

The Wildcats ended up going with Jake Eckerle last season as the starter, but it's likely that Cam Soda would've done every bit as good or maybe even better.  An Ithaca Invitational champion & 3rd at the New Standard Invite, Soda went 19-2 on the year, winning a 4-0 match over qualifier Sam Kotch.

Talan Schutte
UW-La Crosse

Behind two-time NCAA DIII qualifier Sam Lorenz last season, I would easily call Talan Schutte one of the best backups in the D3 nation in '24-'25.  A WIAC champion last year, he is a two-time Pete Willson place-winner with finishes of 4th & 3rd.  Scored a major decision over D3 finalist Sean Conway 15-7.

Nico Diaz
Stevens Tech

An NCAA Division III qualifier in 2023 & a MAC champion in 2024 with a 31-5 record, Nico Diaz sat out last season & will be making his return in '25-'26.  Diaz is also a two-time NWCA Academic All-American.

Sebastian Armstrong
Rhode Island College

The Anchorman put together 15 wins last season & finished one match shy of a top 8 finish at Pete Willson.

Jackson Maby
SUNY-Oneonta

Jackson Maby unfortunately ended up getting injured at Regional 2 & had to medically forfeit out of the tournament.  Had a good season up to that point though, going 24-3.

Andrew Schaen
Ursinus

28 wins on the season for Andrew Schaen, one of which was a 7-3 decision over Drew Loniewski.

Josh Robison
North Central

Here's another sleeper I'm keeping my eye on this season.  Josh Robison is heading into his senior season having yet to be varsity for the Cardinals of North Central.  He was behind two-time All American Bradly Rosen, who finished 3rd in the D3 nation last year.  Robison has done some notable things in his career, including collecting three medals from D3's most prestigious in-season tournament.  Pete Willson finishes of 4th-8th-2nd.  Anxious to see what he can do this winter.

Nosa Egbon
Loras

15 wins on the year for the Georgia native, one of which was a 12-9 decision over Sean Conway.

Sean Rinebolt
Shenendoah

An Augmented/Virtual reality design major, Sean Rinebolt won 23 matches last season, including a 9-5 decision over D3 R12'er Hayden Myers.
