NCAA DIVISION III 133 lbs
The 133 lbs weight class in NCAA Division III is full of talent his year & James Day is among the top. 3rd & 4th thus far in the D3 nation, Day has Regional finishes of 2nd-3rd-3rd & he's been 3rd & 2nd thus far in the Concordia(WIS) open. He went 39-7 in '24-'25.| Dom Mallinder UW-Whitewater |
The Warhawk has the rare opportunity this season to become both a four-time Regional champion & a four-time Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) champion. Along with these accomplishments he also looks to become a three-time D3 All American (6th & 5th thus far) as well as a three-time Pete Willson place-winner (3rd & 1st thus far). He was 25-4 last year.
Garrett Totten TCNJ
The former Midshipmen of the Navy had an outstanding season for the Lions last year. 19-3 on the season, he won Region 3 & finished 6th in the D3 nation.
Chance Suddeth Augsburg
If you've ever eaten a really good steak while in Wisconsin, there's a chance that it could've came from the Suddeth family beef cattle farm. The junior has been 2nd & 1st thus far in Regionals, earning 7th place D3 All American honors last year. 29-8 on the season, he won both the Auggie Open & the MSOE open.
Connor Kidd Luther
His go for broke style didn't always pay off last season, but when it did, it put the Spartan on the map. 22 wins in total, Kidd made the finals of Region 6 & took 8th place All American honors at the NCAA Division III tournament.
Isaias Torres Ithaca
7th in the D3 nation in 2024, Isaias Torres narrowly missed out on his second All American honor last season. 2nd-1st-2nd in Regionals thus far he will look to become a four-time Regional finalist & two-time champion this season. 3rd-2nd-2nd in the Ithaca Invite, he will look to become a four-time place-winner & earn his first title.
Peyton Ellis Johnson & Wales
30-4 on the year, Peyton Ellis finished one match shy of D3 All American honors last season, and I seriously doubt he ever ends another season without an All American plaque again. Predictions can be so difficult to make at the D3 level, but I feel pretty safe in saying that I believe we're looking at a three-time D3 AA. Ellis also took 2nd at Regional 1 & he was champion at the Ithaca Invitational. Among his 30 wins, an 18-6 major over James Day, a 10-8 decision over Dom Mallinder & he stuck Connor Kidd at the 1:19 mark.
Jonah Paulino Roanoke
Talk about another freshman from last season who finished one match shy of D3 All American honors, who also is in a boat looking to sail to a destination of a possible three AA's for it is all said and done. Jonah Paulino 28-6 on the year was the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) champion & the Region 4 runner-up.

The Cyclone has yet to earn D3 All American honors in three trips to the national tournament (3rd-3rd-1st at Regionals) yet as far as I'm concerned he's as much of a title contender heading into '25-'26 as is anyone. Runner-up at the Doug Parker invitational.

Trevor Cortright Utica
Trevor Cortright nearly gave the Pioneers their first NCAA Division III qualifier last season when he finished 4th at Regional 1. Matter of fact, he defeated Caden Frost 7-2 in the first round, but unfortunately then lost to him in the "do or die" match to qualify for D3 nationals. Utica's first SUNY-AC champion, when it comes to first for Utica, Trevor Cortright will add much more to the list.
Art Martinez Case Western Reserve
I might catch some Hell for this, but I'll tell you right now, we're looking at an NCAA Division III title contender. I realize that at 5th-4th-4th in the Regionals, Art Martinez has yet to even make it to the national tournament. How on earth could JT1Wrestle make such a bold prediction? I'll tell you why. Martinez has 95 career wins. He went 40-10 last season.
