NCAA DIVISION III WRESTLING 125
| Christian Guzman North Central |
3rd-2nd-2nd in the D3 nation & 94 career wins, there's only one thing left for the Florida native to accomplish in his already extremely decorated career. That is to win an NCAA Division III title. While nothing is a given, the Cardinal will be the clear favorite until proven otherwise.
Only a sophomore & the Kohawk is already in route on a plan to become a two-time All American this season (5th last year) as well as a two-time Region 6 champion. The Linn-Marr native also won the Coe Open last year with a 27-7 overall record.
The Husky enters his senior season now a three-time NCAA Division III qualifier with Regional finishes of 2nd-3rd-2nd & All American finishes of 4th & 6th. He will look to win his first Regional title this year & end his career a three-time NCAA DIII place-winner.
The future state cop was 3rd in both Region 4 & the Pete Willson Invitational last year, while taking runner-up honors at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). 22-8, he was one match shy of D3 All American honors.
Quinton Wolbert had himself a pretty solid season last year winning 22 matches in route to a 4th place Pete Willson finish, a 3rd place showing at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) & a Region 7 finish. He was one match shy of NCAA Division III All American honors. He's not the only talent the Eagles have at 125 lbs, however. Ino Garcia is a tough wrestler in his own right. Nearly majored qualifier Connor Fiser 8-1.
What a decorated career it has been for Gavin Bradley of Castleton. Thus far 101 career victories, including R12-7th-R12 finishes at the national tournament & 3rd-2nd-3rd at Regionals. Defeated Parke twice last season, 11-8 & once by major 15-5. Has won Ithaca, Roger Williams & Ted Reese. 34-8 in '24-'25.
A Pete Willson champion last season, Jalen Dunson has twice been one match shy of NCAA Division III All American honors, going 7th-1st-3rd at Regionals. 5th-3rd-2nd thus far in the WIAC, he took 3rd at the North Central Invitational.
The Eastern Eagles begin their season ever of NCAA Division III wrestling in '25-'26, and it is a high probability that they could have their first qualifier this year in Malik Asfour! Competing for Delaware Valley last season, thus far Asfour has been 7th & 3rd at Regionals. 25 wins on the year, he was the runner-up at the Middle Atlantic Conference.
35 wins on the season, Tomah Gummow won a SUNY-AC title & qualified for the NCAA Division III championships with a 3rd place showing at Region 2.
The Lion has been 3rd & 2nd thus far in Regionals & a Auggie Invite champion. He'll look to capture All American honors this season.
18 wins on the season, Brett Birchman earned runner-up honors at Region 6 & had an 8-5 s.v. over All American Brayden Parke on the year.
Only a sophomore & I already feel comfortable calling Connor Fiser one of the best at 125 lbs in D3 yet to All American. 3rd at Region 6 last season, Fiser owned a 16-5 major decision over Brayden Parke.

Jack Thode finished 5th at the 2023 Mideast Regional. Then he came up short of placing in the 2024 Mideast Regional, finishing one match shy of NCAA DIII qualification with a 4th place finish at Region 2 this past season. We could be looking at a Sleeper. One good enough to win Region 2 this year & earn All American honors.
| Nikko Beato USCGA |

The Generals have two super tough wrestlers here at 125 lbs, and both of these guys are only sophomores. Tony Urso put together a 21-10 season last year, finishing one match shy of NCAA Division III qualification. A gifted student, Urso excels in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. Teammate Ben Rubin put together a 15-6 season, which included an 8-6 win over four-time Regional place-winner Joey Lamparelli. Rubin also a champion Marching Band member, is a third degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. Anxious to know if those techniques/strategies help with wrestling.
