2025-2026 NAIA Preview - 184 lbs

Tyson Beauperthuy
Doane

It's been a rollercoaster of ups and down for Tyson Beauperthuy.  Making the NAIA finals in 2021, he came up short of a second NAIA All American honor a couple of more times, before once again making the finals last year.  COVID-19 rules give the Tiger one more year of eligibility, as the Greco-Roman specialist will try and end his time in NAIA wrestling as a national champion.  Among the many titles that he has already won, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), the Mile High Open & the Friends Falcon Invitational are among them.

Kendall Norfleet
Life

Younger brother of four-time PAC-12 champion Kordell Norfleet of Arizona State, Kendall Norfleet took 3rd place honors at the NAIA championships this past season.  The Chicago native was also 2nd at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).

Sawyer Hobbs
Providence

The two-time NAIA All American enters his final season of collegiate eligibility having posted 5th place finishes in both 2023 & 2025.  He also is a three-time Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) finalist having gone 1st-1st-2nd thus far.

Isaiah Twait
Corban

David Rubio was the Trojans first NAIA national champion, but we could be looking at their second.  Isaiah Twait has a habit of outwrestling his seed, as he proved it at the CCC last season, winning the title before eventually finishing 6th at the NAIA championships.

Temuujin Mendblieg
Dakota Wesleyan

The Mongolian had a great '24-'25 finishing 2nd in the GPAC, 8th in the NAIA & the in the Missouri Valley Invitational.

Zahquel Davis
Brewton Parker

The Florida native was 3rd in the AAC, and one match shy of top 8 status at the Missouri Valley Invitational.

Hunter Weimer
Concordia (NEB)

Here's a guy that has made some major improvements during the course of his career.  9-14 as a freshman, he was 21-7 last year as a freshman.  Most impressive a 5th place showing at the Missouri Valley Invitational & 3rd in the GPAC.

Jackson King
Dickinson State

The California native has thus far been 3rd & 2nd in the Heart of America (HOA) & 7th back to back in the Missouri Valley Invitational.

Barrett Brandt
Concordia (NEB)

The Bulldogs have another tough one here at 184 lbs.  Barrett Brandt has won 50 matches thus far in his collegiate career, and 35 of them have been by fall! 4th in last year's GPAC.

Bryce Milster
Oklahoma City

The talk may surround new arrivals John Wiley & Tate Picklo, but the Stars have plenty of returning talent too.  Bryce Milster American Midwest Conference/Sooner Athletic Conference (AMC/SAC)  champion is one of them.   Milster was also one match shy of placement at the Missouri Valley Invitational.

Jeremiah Voliva
Avila

The Phoenix, Arizona native who started his collegiate career off at Labette Community College, won the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) title this past season.

Rocco Horvath
Cumberland

The Louisiana native enters his final season of collegiate eligibility a two-time Mid-South Conference (MSC) champion.

Justin Bartee
Rio Grande

Justin Bartee was 4th in the MSC last season & 6th at the Missouri Valley Invitational.
