2025-2026 NAIA Preview - HWT

 







Austin Foye
Central Methodist



The Eagle won 18 matches this season, and 11 of them were via fall.  Only a junior, has the potential to become the best wrestler in Central Methodist history, as he made the NAIA national finals this  previous season.  A Florida native, who once again proves the sunshine state produces talent. 

Ken Copley
Embry Riddle

Another junior, Ken Copley is a two-time NAIA All American with finishes of 8th & 3rd thus far.  He's also thus far been 3rd-3rd within the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC).  An Idaho native, he won last year's Mile High Open. 

Nico Rodriguez
Eastern Oregon

The Utah Valley transfer earned 5th place NAIA All American honors last year for the Mountaineers & was 2nd in the CCC. 

Antonio Garcia
Corban

23-6 on the year, Antonio Garcia won a CCC title for the Warriors & captured 7th place NAIA All American honors.  

Seth Suvak
Dickinson State

Another Florida native, Seth Suvak was a Heart of America (HOA) champion & 8th in the NAIA nation this past season. 

Johnny Cruz
Indiana Tech


A Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference champion (WHAC) & a Missouri Valley Invitational finalist, Johnny Cruz was one match shy of NAIA All American honors. 

Koen Mattern
Hastings

A native of Washington, Koen Mattern won a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) title this past season & took 5th at the Missouri Valley Invitational, while finishing one match shy of NAIA All American honors. 

Ethan DeRoche
Providence


Could have as easily ended up on the gridiron, but luckily for us, Ethan DeRoche ended up on the mat.  Thus far he's been 5th & 4th within the CCC. 

Darrian  Hoobery
Eastern Oregon


Another Mountaineer making waves in the HWT division, Darian Hoobery was 5th in last year's CCC. 

Shane Mattson
Montana State Northern


A Nevada native, Shane Mattson was 6th at both the Missouri Valley Invitational & the CC.

Arizona Christian

Kaden Cisneros was 7th at last year's CCC.

Eli Criblez enters his junior season now a two-time GPAC place-winner (4th & 5th) & a two-time Missouri Valley Invitational place-winner (7th-7th).

The Fighting Bee was a surprise at last year's HOA, making the finals.

K.J. Fry was 6th in the HOA this past season.

The Allen, Texas native won a American Midwest Conference/Sooner Athletic Conference (AMC/SAC) title this past season.

Another Texas native, Wilbert Martin was runner-up at the AMC/SAC last year.

Aiden Mozden

Aiden Mozen won a WHAC title two-seasons ago & was 3rd this past season.

Silva won a Mid-South Conference (MSC) title this past season.

Ian Clifford was 8th at the prestigious Missouri Valley Invitational this past season.

Missouri Valley


A former CCCAA wrestler for Cerritos, Randy Gonzalez was one match shy of placement at the Missouri Valley Invitational last season.

Cumberlands


A former NJCAA standout for Indian Hills, TreyShaun White was one match shy of placing at the Missouri Valley Invitational last year.
