Located in Aptos, California forty-five minutes southeast of San Jose, the Seahawks of Cabrillo to my understanding had a wrestling program from about the initiation of the school in the early 1960's until the 1981-1982 season.

DeRosa came to Cabrillo from Watsonville High school. He placed fourth at the 1976 CCCAA tournament. An interesting fact about DeRosa is that he did not play football in high school, but he did play football for Cabrillo
