Gone, Lost & Forgotten: Their Best = Butte

 Located in Chico, California the roadrunners of Butte saw their final wrestling season in 1990-1991. 


Dusty Clark
158 lbs 

Clark was a CCCAA runner up in 1975. 

Steve Ramirez 
HWT

Ramirez made the CCCAA finals in 1982. 

Steve Haxby
167 lbs 


Haxby took a second place finish at the 1982 CCCAA tournament. 



Walter Ulrich
134 lbs 

Ulrich placed twice at the CCCAA tournament for the Roadrunners, taking third in 1983 & fourth in 1984.  He continued his wrestling career at Chico State, where he was a two time NCAA Division II place winner placing eighth in 1985 & fourth in 1986.   

He went on to a successful coaching career coaching at UC Davis, Santa Rosa & Sacramento City. 

Jesse Ordano
118 lbs 

Oradano was a CCCAA runner-up in 1984. 

Brett Southwick
118 lbs 

Southwick made the CCCAA finals in 1987 for the road runners. He then went on to wrestle for Chico State where he placed fourth at the 1991 NCAA Division II tournament. 

Glenn Nye
190 lbs 

Nye came from Corning High School where he placed fourth in the state championships before coming to Butte.  Competing for the Roadrunners he was fifth in 1988 before winning a CCCAA title in 1989.
