Last year's NCAA DIII finalist Tyler Goebel started off the season at 165 lbs, but recently (1-10-2025) dropped down to 157 lbs. Currently 15-1 on the season, the Pete Willson Invitational gives the Eagle an opportunity to show case just how dominate he'll be in his new weight class.

Here to challenge Goebel will be last year's Pete Willson Invitational champion Jermaine Butler. A match shy of D3 All American honors last year, Butler owns an 8-3 decision over Jayden Jones.

Among those in the hunt for a medal this weekend will be Jayden Jones, who finished one match shy of a top 8 finish at last year's Pete Willson Invitational. Among the competition, he owns a 5:13 fall over Ramiro Guerrero.

16-2 on the season, Andrew McDougal will be among the many Maroons of Roanoke looking for a top finish here in Wheaton, Illinois. Owns a 10-0 major decision over Michael Smith.

A phenomenal back up for most of his career, Cole Hansen proved so by placing 7th at last year's Pete Willson Invitational. He's likely to earn another medal this weekend.

Consistency hasn't been Michael Smith's middle name, but he has been known to show up and perform at various times in his career. Last year he was 8th in the Pete Willson Invitational, and he owns a 7-6 decision over Jayden Jones and a 14-3 major over Ramiro Guerrero.
