2025-2026 NCAA Division III Preview - HWT

Mitch Williamson
Wartburg

He won an NJCAA title for Iowa Lakes & last year he won a NCAA Division III title for Wartburg.  2nd & 3rd thus far in Regional 6, Mitch Williamson heads into his final season of collegiate wrestling having posted a 23-1 record last year.

Jake Walker
Wartburg

Be as it may, of course the #1 wrestler at HWT in the D3 nation would have a phenomenal backup.  Jake Walker went 10-1 in his own right last season, with an impressive 8-1 win over qualifier Titus Waters.

Carl DiGiorgio
USCGA

It was only a year ago that Chase Randall cemented himself as probably the best wrestler to ever come out of the United States Coast Guard Academy.  It might not be a record that holds very long. Carl DiGiorgio has thus far been 7th-3rd-2nd in the D3 Nation, with finishes of 2nd-1st-1st at Regionals.  He was 25-3 on the season.

Austin Cooley
Schreiner

Austin Cooley made history last season, becoming the first wrestler in the history of NCAA Division III wrestling to earn All American honors (5th) from a Texas school.  A Cliff Keen Mike Duroe champion, he was 2nd at Regional 6 & the only wrestler to hand Mitch Williamson a loss (8-5).

Adolfo Betancur
Johnson & Wales

29 wins for Adolfo Betancur who was 6th in the D3 nation this past season.  Back-to-back 3rd place showings at Regionals, he is also a two-time New Standard runner-up.  He was also 3rd at the Ithaca Invite.

   Mauro Pellot             Owen Reber
Alvernia

Scratch the idea of Mauro Pellot being back this season, as I'm 99.99% positive that his eligibility is a said & done thing.  3rd-3rd-8th-1st at Regionals, he was 7th in the D3 nation last year.  What can I tell you about replacement Owen Reber?  Well, he beat Pellot last year in an official match 5-1.

Logan Flynn
Delaware Valley

Logan Flynn went 27-7 on the year last year, capturing 3rd place at Regional 3 & a R12 finish at D3 Nationals.

Also on the defensive line for the Wesleyan football program, Will Orson won 13 matches last year for the Cardinals, placing 5th at Regional 1.

Mason Swanson took 5th at Regional 7 last year.

Emre Sensoy

Owning a parrot & having aspirations of fighting in the UFC, Emre Sensoy could one day be the KoKo B Ware of MMA.  For right now, he's a sophomore who finished 6th at Regional 1 last year.

Dustin Koskinen Falls
SUNY-Oswego

With a last name like Falls, you would think that Dustin Koskinen Falls would have racked up few.  And indeed, he did.  About 40% of his wins last season came via fall.  He finished 6th at Regional 2.

Micah Martinez
Messiah

Also a member of the Messiah E-sports (which I think is the first time I've ever ran across a wrestler involved in E-sports) Micah Martinez won 27 matches last year & placed 6th at Regional 3.
