Gone, Lost & Forgotten - Lindenwood Belleville

Life and much within it can often be quite confusing.  Today I'm writing about the Lindenwood-Belleville wrestling team, that was known as the Lynx.  Not to be confused with the Lindwood Lions, out of St. Charles, Missouri.   The Lynx wrestling team wasn't around for very long, but during their short stay (2012-2013 to 2018-2019) they produced quite a bit of talent.  Especially within the last four years of the program, before the entire school ceased to exist.

Joe Robinson

Without a doubt the best wrestler that the Lynx ever produced was four time NAIA qualifier Joe Robinson who made trips to the NAIA championships in '16, '17, '18 & '19.   His senior season of 2019, he not only became Lindenwood-Belleville's only All American, he became their only NAIA finalist.

Jesse Martinelli

A four time Missouri high school state qualifier, who placed 5th his senior season, Jesse Martinelli was an NAIA qualifier for the Lynx in 2016.  Along with qualifying for the NAIA national championships, Martinelli volunteered time to coach a local junior high wrestling team.

Marcello Sierra

From what I have been able to gather, Marcello Sierra started off his wrestling career at Graceland & then transferred to Lindenwood-Belleville.  He was a two time NAIA qualifier for the Lynx, then transferring to Life for his final season of eligibility, after the school had closed its doors.
