Kansas Wesleyan is rather strange case. Launched in the '15-'16 school year, it only lasted through the '18-'19 season. Four short seasons of Coyote wrestling. Then the school announced that they were going to start up a women's wrestling program, but no mention of them restoring their men's program. To me, that's just odd. Don't get me wrong, thrilled about the women's program and hope to see it have much success. But no men's team? That just doesn't make sense.
Ty Wilson |
Ty Wilson earned NAIA qualification for the Coyotes in 2017, posting 19 wins on the year & a title at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. He would go on to earn two more NAIA qualifications for Lourdes in 2018 & 2019.
Taylor Moeder |
Taylor Moeder's collegiate career is probably the most difficult one to follow that I've ever came across. I believe all in all, he competed for Old Dominion, Nebraska-Kearney, Warner Pacific, Kansas Wesleyan and Newman. That doesn't even seem hardly possible, but I do think that's the story behind Taylor Moeder. Specifically speaking to Kansas Wesleyan, he was the Coyotes sole All American, placing 4th at the 2018 NAIA championships.
Lexington Plummer |
Lexington Plummer earned NAIA qualification for the Coyotes in 2019, where he came within a match of earning All American honors. He later went to wrestle for Ottawa.
