AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 174 lbs

Here at 174 lbs, we only have four available spots & we have six wrestlers who will be fighting to get them.

#5
Lorenzo Norman
Stanford

There are no guarantees in this sport, but you can be 99.99% positive that one of our wildcard bids is going to Lorenzo Norman.  Another member of the strong amount of youth in Palo Alto, the Cardinal made the CKLV finals & then a few weeks later won at Midlands title.  Who hasn't he defeated this season? 10-1 major over Aiden Riggins, a 12-7 decision over Danny Wask & a 10-6 decision over Garrett Thompson.  Also owns a 3-1 decision over Alex Cramer, an 8-6 decision over Luca Augustine & a 10-1 major over Jack McGill.

#15
Myles Takats
Bucknell

22-7 on the season, Myles Takats was an NCAA DI qualifier last year.  Placing 3rd at the Midlands earlier this season, has many notable wins in '24-'25.  16-2 major over Alex Cramer, a 9-6 decision over M.J. Gaitan & a 4-1 s.v. over Luca Augustine.  4-1 s.v. over Dalton Harkins, owns an 11-1 major decision over Jack McGill & an 11-3 major over Simon Ruiz.

#16
Nick Incontrera
Pennsylvania

Sorta ticked off that Nick Incontrera is even in this position to begin with.  Really shouldn't be, but nevertheless he is.  A three-time NCAA DI qualifier, the Quaker is 22-6 on the year.  Proved as far as I'm concerned to be one of the best of modern times to not win a Midlands title in his career going 2nd-3rd-2nd.  Owns a 6-0 decision over Garrett Thompson, an 11-2 major over Matty Singleton & an 8-5 decision over Danny Braunagel.

#24
Jackson Turley
Rutgers

Jackson Turley is a three-time NCAA DI qualifier who earned 8th place All American honors in 2021. He was 5th at the Midlands earlier this year & owns a 4-1 decision over Danny Braunagel.

#27
Brody Conley
West Virginia

An NCAA DI qualifier last year, Brody Conley owns both a 14-2 major over M.J. Gaitan & an 8-5 decision over Jared Simma.

#28
Lucas Uliano
Appalachian State

23-8 on the season, Lucas Uliano owns a technical fall, 19-3 over Lennox Wolak.

AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 165 lbs

Another competitive weight class, here at 165 lbs we have four spaces left & five talented wrestlers going for them.  Not sure who the odd man out will be, but unfortunately one of the five I mention below will be staying home. Perhaps more if the selection committee has others included that I have not.

#7
Will Miller
Appalachian State

When it comes to At-Large/Wildcard selections you can probably count on one hand how many the Southern Conference has received over the years.  If they have a shoe-in this year, it is two-time NCAA DI qualifier Will Miller of Appalachian State. The Mountaineer lost in the SOCON finals, but I believe being 21-2 on the season with some notable wins, should get him invited to the dance.  4-3 over Andrew Sparks, 7-3 over Derek Fields & 2-1 tiebreaker over Mac Church.

#12
Drake Rhodes
South Dakota State

Injuries are unfortunately a part of the wrestling world & that's the case with Drake Rhodes.  Fortunately though, we live in a day in age, where getting injured at the conference tournament doesn't automatically disqualify you from competing in the NCAA DI tournament.  21-5 on the year, many of the Jackrabbit's victories have been over formidable opponents.  12-7 over Jack Thomson, he defeated Nicco Ruiz 5-4.  8-4 over Hunter Garvin, 5-0 over Jared Keslar & a 17-2 technical fall over Enrique Munguia.  He was also 5th at CKLV.

#19
Tyler Lillard
Indiana

An NCAA DI qualifier in 2024, ranked #19, with 19 wins on the season, we're looking at our Midlands champion from earlier this season.  Owns a 7-3 decision over Maxx Mayfield & a 6-3 sudden victory over ACC champ Hunter Garvin.

#22
Tony White
Rutgers

An NCAA DI qualifier back in 2023, key wins for Tony White this year include 6-1 over Enrique Munguia, 4-3 over Cesar Alvan & 4-2 over Jordan Keslar.

#30
Tate Picklo
Oklahoma

A very ugly BIG 12 for the Sooner, but I'll tell you what Tate Picklo does have going for himself.  A 2023 NCAA DI qualifier, looked sharp at the Southern Scuffle picking up a 3rd place finish.  Owns a 15-6 major decision over SOCON champ Thomas Snipes.

AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 157 lbs

Very competitive here at 157 lbs.   We have six At large/Wildcard spots available & we have 8 individuals who are looking for them.  Who will be those six?

#9
Trevor Chumbley
Northwestern

A two-time NCAA DI qualifier, a very high ranking isn't the only thing that will help Trevor Chumbley get into the NCAA's this year.  A high number of quality wins over qualifiers will.  4-1 over Matty Bianchi, 8-4 over Caleb Fish, & 5-0 over Chase Saldate.  Also owns a 7-0 decision over Connor Harer who defeated him 2-1 tiebreaker at the BIG 10's.

#21
Dylan Evans
Pittsburgh

21-7 on the year, Dylan Evans was 5th at the Midlands championships & also owns both a 4-1 decision over Sonny Santiago & a 4-1 s.v. over Rafael Hipolito.

#28
Grigor Cholakyan
Stanford

A tough freshman for the Cardinal, Grigor Cholakyan was 7th at the Midlands earlier this season.  He actually defeated Sonny Santiago 4-2 at the ACC's.  However, while Santiago wrestled his way back to qualification, Cholakyan finished a match short.

#29
Conner Harer
Rutgers

As previously mentioned, the Scarlet Knight owns a 2-1 tiebreaker over Trevor Chumbley.

#30
Jason Kraisser
Illinois

An NCAA DI qualifier in 2023, Jason Kraisser owns a 16-9 victory over Paddy Gallagher on the year.

#31
Luke Nichter
Drexel

The Dragon scored a very impressive 1:57 fall over Luke Nichter earlier this season.

#32
Blake Saito
Brown

The Bears of Brown could really use an NCAA DI qualifier.  They haven't sent anyone since 2019 & they're do.  I'd love to see Blake Saito, who won the Midlands title earlier this season get a nod.  Extremely competitive weight though.

#33
Legend Lamer
Cal Poly

A three-time NCAA DI qualifier, I'd really hate to see Legend Lamer not make it four in his final attempt.  However, the 7-3 loss to C.J. Hamblin at the PAC-12 championships could very well be the nail in the coffin that keeps him out.  What the Mustang has going for him is a 4-3 victory over D.J. McGee, the MAC champ.

===

Honestly I don't know how this one is going to shake out.  Rankings are one thing, results are another. I'd lay money down on Trevor Chumbley, that's for sure, but the other five?  I think it gets rather tricky, and I have a feeling some revoting might need to take place among the committee before a final decision is made.

AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 149 lbs

Four spots available here at 149 lbs & as far as I'm concerned, six worthy candidates.   Let's take a look at who they are.

#15
Jaden Abas
Stanford

The son of a three-time NCAA DI finalist & the nephew of a three-time NCAA DI champion, Jaden Abas is looking to become a five-time NCAA DI qualifier.  7th in the DI nation back in 2021, Abas has had a career of ups & downs, this season in particular resembling that remark.  One of the downs of course, coming up short of automatic qualification at the ACC championships.  Many ups on the year though.  3rd at CKLV, Abas won a Midlands title.  A 4-2 victory over Sammy Alvarez & a 7-2 decision over Colin Realbuto, he majored Jack Gioffre 14-2.  Also owns a 5-1 decision over Koy Buesgens.  Might not count towards anything, but a 1:42 fall over All American Anthony Echemendia (he's been out with injury) is pretty impressive too if you ask me.

#22
Finn Solomon
Pittsburgh

Right behind Abas in an ACC bracket that took the top 4, Finn Solomon looks for NCAA DI qualification via an At Large/Wildcard bid.  A 4-3 win over Kal Miller on the year, the Panther took 6th at the Midlands.

#25
Sam Cartella
Northwestern

A few spots behind Finn Solomon in the rankings, Cartella finished one spot ahead of him at the Midlands where he took 5th place.

#26
Gabe Willochell
Wyoming

A two-time NCAA DI qualifier, Gabe Willochell will be in the fight for one of the At large/Wildcard bids.

#27
Malyke Hines
Lehigh

A four-time NCAA DI qualifier, I honestly think it'd be absolute horse manure if they leave Malyke Hines home this year.  In a bracket that only took the champion, he's now split 1-1 with Trae McDaniel, whom he beat earlier this year 12-10.  Also owns a 5-4 decision over Ethan Fernandez.

#30
Drew Roberts
Minnesota

Roberts is another candidate for selection.   An NCAA DI qualifier last year, owns an 8-6 decision over Gavin Drexel.

AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 133 lbs

It makes me sick to my stomach.  Only four spots left here at 133 lbs.  As far as I'm concerned, there are seven worthy candidates.  That means that three of the talents I list here will not be going to the NCAA DI championships.

#3
Evan Frost
Iowa State

Might as well put a stamp on it & put it in the outgoing mail, cause this one is as good as delivered.  6th in the DI nation last season, earned his second runner-up finish at CKLV, and he's ranked #3.  18-4 on the year, a 5-0 win over Ethan Oakley, a 6-3 decision over Kurt Phipps & an 11-3 major over Derrick Cardinal.  What happened to Evan Frost is that he fell victim to the "once a year huge win" that Kade Moore pulls off every season.  That's all.  The Cyclone will be going to the DI championships.  Take it to the bank.

#8
Tyler Knox
Stanford

Might as well consider this one a guarantee too.  24-6 on the year, Knox unfortunately finished 4th in an ACC bracket that took the top 3.  5th in CKLV & a Midlands Champion, the redshirt freshman has plenty of victories to make his case.  15-10 over BIG 10 runner-up Drake Ayala, 5-3 over Zeth Romney, 5-0 over Jacob Van Dee, 9-6 over Ivy League champ Ryan Miller, 10-3 over Dylan Shawver & 9-1 over Kai Orine.

#18
Tyler Wells
Minnesota

Tyler Wells is certainly a worthy candidate for NCAA DI qualification.  The Golden Gopher was one match shy of being an All American last year.  Owns an 8-2 decision over EIWA champ Kurt Phipps, a 3-2 decision over Braxton Brown & a 6-3 decision over Kade Moore.

#20
Reece Witcraft
Oklahoma State

A true team player, Reece Witcraft is the kinda guy you like to see succeed.  He's been through the thick and think with the Cowboys, and while many others would have transferred out, he stuck it through with his team.  And speaking of his team, Oklahoma State sure could use him as they duke it out with Iowa in a battle for the silver trophy.  A two-time NCAA DI qualifier, his performance at CKLV is his greatest asset.  4th, he defeated Jacob Van Dee 8-1 & Derrick Cardinal 10-3.  He also owns a 6-3 decision over Kade Moore.

#21
Cleveland Belton
Oklahoma

Can we call it Bedlam?  I say this because I'm very confident that 3/4's of our Wildcards here are going to be Evan Frost, Tyler Knox & Tyler Wells.  It's that #4 slot that I'm pondering about, and as luck would have it, it's between a Cowboy & a Sooner.

Witcraft is one spot ahead of Belton in the rankings, but I seriously doubt that's going to hold much water.  Witcraft owning the head to head with a 5:43 fall however is likely to spell out the difference.  Nonetheless Belton was one match shy of NCAA DI All American honors last year, and he owns a 4-1 win over Sean Spidle & an 11-5 decision over Kade Moore.

#23
Ethan Berginc
Army

A two-time NCAA DI qualifier, Ethan Berginc has been 4th-3rd-3rd within the EIWA.  Unfortunately, I believe a 5-1 loss to Kyle Waterman is going to keep him out of the dance this year.  Most certainly one of the best at 125 to DNQ if that is the case.  Owns both a 9-6 decision & a 2:25 fall over SOCON champ T.K. Davis & owns a 4-1 s.v. over Anthony Noto who just won his fourth MAC title.   25-6 on the year.

#33
Markel Baker
Northern Illinois

A worthy candidate, I have a feeling Markel Baker is unfortunately going to make JT#1's "Best of 2025 not to qualify" list.  Only four spots available & again we have seven wrestlers fighting over those spots.  The Husky owns a 7-6 decision over Zeth Romney.

AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 141 lbs

Here at 141 lbs, we have four open spots available & I feel very confident that I know who the four wrestlers are going to be who take them.   My picks for the wildcards?  See below.

#16
Josh Edmond
Missouri

3rd in the BIG 12 a year ago, Josh Edmond came up a match short of a top 8 finish this past weekend.  A match shy of being an NCAA DI All American last year, the Tiger owns a 5-2 decision over Jordan Titus & a 9-4 decision over Jason Miranda.

# 18
Haiden Drury
Utah Valley

7th in the BIG 12 a year ago, 2022 NCAA DI qualifier Haiden Drury was one match shy of placing at the BIG 12's last weekend.  Owns a 5-2 decision over Julian Tagg.

#26
Henry Porter
Indiana

Henry Porter among his ranking, also owns a 14-7 decision over Evan Mouglian.

#27
Jayden Scott
North Carolina

5th in an ACC bracket that took the top 4.  Among a respectable ranking, I think both a 3-2 t.b. win over Mosha Schwartz & a runner-up finish at the Southern Scuffle will be on the Tar Heel's side.

#17
Danny Pucino
Illinois

Now some are going to point at Danny Pucino & think that ranking alone should get him in ahead of Drury, Porter & Scott.   I'll tell you why I don't think that'll be the case.  First off Pucino doesn't have any wins over those who have qualified at 141 lbs.  Secondly & even more of a factor, is that Porter recently won a head-to-head 20-9 major decision over the Illini.  I can't see the committee taking Pucino over Drury.  I don't think they'll take him over Scott either.  Could be wrong, but I think unfortunately for the blue & orange, we're looking at #34.

AT LARGE: Wild Card Candidates for 2025 NCAA DI's = 125 lbs

The NCAA DI championships are upon us!  Each weight has qualified a certain number of wrestlers, and each weight class has a certain number of spots left.

Here at 125 lbs, there are four available spots.  As far as JT#1 is concerned, there are six eligible wrestlers for those four spots. So in other words, four of these talents will call themselves 2025 NCAA DI qualifiers & unfortunately two of them will be staying home.

Here are the candidates....

#10
Spencer Moore
North Carolina

The Tar Heel is looking to qualify for his first NCAA DI championship & he's got quite a bit going for him in the idea that he'll be selected as a wildcard.  A runner-up finish at this year's Southern Scuffle, he owns an 11-2 major decision over BIG 12 champion Jett Strickenberger, as well as a 4-1 sudden victory over Eddie Ventresca & a 6-4 win over Nick Babin.

#14
Kysen Terukina
Iowa State

The Cyclone is a three-time NCAA DI qualifier already.  He was 4th in last year's BIG 12 championships but came up a match short of placing this year.  A higher ranking will help him as the selection committee makes its decisions.

#15
Joey Cruz
Iowa

You know good and well that the Hawkeyes are wanting the selection committee to choose Joey Cruz.  In contention for a top four trophy finish, when it comes to the NCAA DI championships, you need every hand on deck.  A 6-5 win over Brendan McCrone & a 7-4 s.v. over Cooper Flynn side with the Hawkeye, as does his respectable ranking.

#18
Tanner Jordan
South Dakota State

23-8 on the season & 8th in the DI nation last year, I find it very hard to believe that the selection committee would leave Tanner Jordan at home.  I'm pretty sure out of the four that will be going to the NCAA DI championships, the Jackrabbit will be one of them.   He finished one match shy of qualification this year, placing 8th in a BIG 12 bracket that took the top 7.  It also helps that he earned his third medal at CKLV (which I consider to be DI's toughest in-season tournament).  6th-8th-7th in Vegas.

#24
Anthony Molton
Campbell

The odd man out, I'm afraid.  It really pains me to say this as Anthony Molton was a hair short of NCAA DI qualification last year as well.  This kid has been through so much.  Wrestled for two different programs that were discontinued.  I was really hoping he'd win the SOCON title this year & go out with a bang.  The 8-2 semi-final loss to Tyston Lane I think is the mark that may seal his fate.  What could help him out though is an 8-5 decision over Charlie Farmer & a runner-up finish at the Southern Scuffle.

#27
Diego Sotelo
Harvard

I've been on the bandwagon to once again see Crimson wrestling rise to the levels that it was when I first started following NCAA DI wrestling.  They've had some really good kids on their roster & Diego Sotelo has been one of them.  A two time NCAA DI qualifier, it has been the Midlands where this talent has shined the past three seasons.  3rd-5th-3rd in Chicago.   Unfortunately, though, I think a 4-2 loss to Marcello Milani at the Ivy League's is going to be the strike against him that keeps him out.

The top 33 per weight class get to call themselves NCAA DI qualifiers.  I believe that four of the six I mentioned will be in that group & the other two, easily #34 & #35, if it is worth any consolation.

2024-2025 NJCAA Wrestling Season - Final Thoughts

The '24-'25 NJCAA wrestling season has officially came to an end.  The national championships were concluded yesterday & that wraps up another great year of junior college wrestling.  Here are my final thoughts on the year.

Ane'e Vigil Cap Off Incredible NJCAA Career With Two National Titles

I'm very anxious to see were Vigil ends up next season.  With back-to-back NJCAA titles, you know he's heavily recruited.  As strictly a fan, I don't have any insight, only intuition. I think wherever he goes, he'll make an immediate impact.

Elijah Cater ends NJCAA Career at Two-Time All American

Another NJCAA standout to keep an eye on in '25-'26 is North Idaho's Elijah Cater.  Cater is one of the very select few to ever hand Vigil a loss & actually defeated the Cougar for the West District title before heading to Nationals.  7th & 3rd in the NJCAA nation, with the Cardinals' strong history of being an excellent feeder program, he's bound to end up doing great things for a four-year program.

A match Shy of All American in '24, Jaydale Whitlock Earns All American in '25

Iowa Central's Jaydale Whitlock ended 2024 one match shy of NJCAA All American honors, but would not be denied this weekend as the Triton took home a 7th place finish.  It'll be fun to see if he ends up wrestling somewhere close to home (Grove, Oklahoma) or if he ventures out for the remainder of his career.  If close to home I hope that Oklahoma Wesleyan head coach Tom Carr has an eye on him.  Competing for the Eagles, Whitlock would only be an hour & a half from home.  Plenty close for family to come and support him.

All American Karim Allah

Karim Allal is another wrestler who came up a hair short of NJCAA All American honors last season, who would not be denied in '24-'25.  The Golden Norseman took 8th place honors this year.  I believe he wants to major in something to do with mathematics, but not for sure on that.  A California native, will be fun to see where he ends up.

Cesar Avelar Ends Great NJCAA Career One of Best To Not Win National Title

I really thought that Cesar Avelar would end his career an NJCAA champion.  Came up a little short, but still what a fantastic career for the Cougar.  A two-time West District champion, he collected silver & bronze medals from the NJCAA tournament.  I have no say in anything that happens, but if I had any power, any say, I'd love to see Avelar end up at Cal Poly-Humboldt.  Before dropping wrestling many years ago CPU-Humboldt had an assortment of successes.  Since reinstatement, they're looking to once again build upon the rich tradition they once had.  That all begins with a first star.  I think Avelar could be the Lumberjacks first star.

Olberding Comes Up A Hair Short of Second All American Honor

7th in the NJCAA nation last season, Ely Olberding came up a hair short of earning another All American honor this season. I hope that doesn't deter his chances of being recruited, because I think he'd be an excellent addition to any four-year school he'd attend.  Growing up just outside of Omaha, I can see him wanting to stay close to home.  Perhaps we'll see him at Doane next year?  Anxious to find out.

Andrew Crowns First All American!

Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia (an hour south of Columbus) is only on their first season as a varsity program within the NJCAA, and they already have their first All American! Talk about a school that is bound for success. They qualified their whole squad too! Amantee Mills took 4th place honors!

Paul Kadlec Becomes Joliet's First 2x All American Since Reinstatement

This was Joliet Junior college's eighth year back since reinstating their wrestling program.  I'm not 100% positive on this, but I believe Paul Kadlec is the Wolves first two-time All American in the new era.  7th & 6th place NJCAA finishes for the Wolf.   Another wrestler to keep an eye on in '25-'26 to see where he ends up.

Job Lee Ends Career on Top

A two-time South Central District champion, Job Lee ended his community college career as the NJCAA champion.  An Arizona native, he's another I wonder if he'll stay in the Midwest, or if he'll head back West to compete closer to home.

Keith Smith Becomes Bobcats First NJCAA Champ!

I knew it wouldn't take Coach Pack very long to crown his first NJCAA champ & Keith Smith was the man for the job! I was almost positive that Smith had another season of NJCAA eligibility if he wanted it, but relooking at the roster, I think his time is up.  Will be moving on to a four-year school in '25-'26.  A native of Lincoln, might be looking at the Huskers.

Otgonbayar Batsuuri Ends Career Two-Time NJCAA Champ

Fort Hays Northwest Tech has a history of producing some outstanding talent.  When it comes to the NJCAA feeder system, you're never quite sure where wrestlers are going to go once their community college careers are a said and done thing, but I'd bet that Batsuuri will be going NCAA Division I.  If not, maybe DII, which I think he'll dominate there as much as he did the NJCAA.  I mean look at it this way, he owns a 14-3 major over Jacobi Deal & a 15-4 major decision over Kaden Hart, both NCAA DII qualifiers.  Hart, a match shy of D2 All American honors last year.  There's a bright future for this young man, and that could include international success in both the Worlds & the Olympics.

Triton Earns Second NJCAA All American Award

3rd a year ago, it was 5th place NJCAA All American honors for Lawrence Rosario in '24-'25.  A Miami, Florida native, will be fun to see if he ends up competing for one of the Florida programs next season.  Southeastern, St Thomas, Keiser, love seeing those southeast programs have success.

Poor Seeding Leads to Unfavorable Outcome for Cordell White

I try and stay as positive as I can when covering this great sport, but sometimes situations call for appropriate response.  3rd in the NJCAA nation last season, it was absolute balderdash that Cordell White ended up getting paired with the *1 seed first round this tournament.  Plain and simple, that's not right.  You know me and my love for redemption.  I hope to see Cordell White competing next season & I hope to see him have much success.

Fort Hays Tech Northwest Produces Incredible Talent. Did I Mention That Yet?

4th in the NJCAA nation a year ago, Lazaro Crespo capped off his incredible career as NJCAA champion this past weekend. Much like teammate Otgonbayar Batsuuri, I think the future holds a lot of great things for the Tiger. A native of Cuba, could spell out international success.  Be cool to see him & Batsuuri end up at the same four-year institution. What a package deal that would be.  Has a # of notable victories over D2 opponents including qualifiers Jacobi Deal & Cole Gray.

Warrior Ends Career NJCAA Finalist

The Beach Boys favorite wrestler, Jaquan East 6th in the NJCAA nation a year ago, took runner-up honors this past weekend.  Like many who compete for Cole Spree during their community college careers, he's sure to go on to much success as he continues his education & his wrestling at a four year institution.

Make the Statue Bronze

184 lbs in the NJCAA has been absolutely loaded and Isaac White has managed to earn back to back 3rd place finishes these past two seasons.  Have no idea where he'll end up, but again, gut feeling has me thinking NCAA Division II.  I think White would thrive within the environment.  Stuck D2 qualifier Matt Rodriguez in 3:52.

Thompson Becomes Badgers First Two-Time NJCAA All American!

I love seeing all of these new wrestling programs & even more I love seeing them in places where collegiate wrestling is desperately needed.  Utah is a state that has needed collegiate wrestling growth for quite some time & three years ago we saw the addition of Snow! Even better, they've wasted no time in being successful.  Third year in & already they have their first two-time NJCAA All American!  Chandler Thompson 8th a year ago & 4th this year.

Matt Marcum earns second All American honor

I've had an easier time finding Waldo in the hardest edition of Where's Waldo than I have trying to find pictures of Labette wrestlers in Labette uniforms.  The NJCAA in itself is often a cryptic and mysterious world, but in this case I'll find out what really became of Jimmy Hoffa before I find a picture of Matt Marcum that isn't from his high school days.  Nevertheless earning 6th & 4th place finishes in the NJCAA nation, should be recognized for it.  Another talent that will make a fine addition to a four year institution.

Triton Crowns Two-Time All American

Ghee Rachal was one of those wrestlers that seemed to always find his way into placement status no matter what tournament he entered.  Was thinking he might place a bit higher this year, but it was back to back 5th place finishes for the Chicago native.   As to where he'll end up in '25-'26.  I think D3 is calling his name.  Owns a 12-2 major over D3 qualifier Ian Pepple & an 11-9 decision over Treyten Steffen a three-time Regional place-winner.

Dmarian Lopez ends Career with NJCAA Title

3rd in the NJCAA nation a year ago, the Mustang was all gold in '24-'25! Another to keep an eye on come '25-'26!
