The comets of Contra Costa at one time had a wrestling program.

| Leif Grunsetta 158 lbs |
Grunsetta twice placed at the CCCAA tournament. He was third in 1972 & runner-up in 1973.

| Frank Lockett 177 lbs |
Born in Louisiana, Locket graduated from De Anza High School in California before coming to Contra Costa. More so a football player, Lockett wrestled well enough to take a CCCAA fifth place finish in 1976.
He went on to continue his football career at the University of Nebraska. He spent a season with the Miami Dolphins in the NFL & played quite a few years in the USFL.
