Four Regional III place-winners for the Spartans last year, and we return two as we head into 2026-2027.
Josh Stahl has to be one of my favorite stories in all of collegiate wrestling. Not just last year, but in the entire time I've been following this sport since 1991-1992. Doesn't make the varsity until his junior season. Goes undefeated up until Regionals & has his season come to a depressing end due to injury. Then comes back super strong this year to make the finals of both Regional III & the NCAA D3 national tournament. What a story of inspiration, determination and never giving up.
York also loses a good one in Jake DelVecchio. 3rd at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), he was 7th at Regional III.
